Appliance Removal in Beiseker, Alberta
Appliance Removal in Beiseker โ No Runaround, Just Done
If you live in Beiseker, you know the drill. The old fridge in the garage finally gave out. The washer your folks left behind when they moved to the seniors' lodge in Airdrie is still sitting on the back porch. Or maybe you're cleaning out a rental property on Main Street and need every scrap of metal and plastic gone before the new tenants move in.
I'm TJ. I run TJ's Junk Removal. I come to Beiseker, I load up your old appliances, and I take them away. No dumpster rental, no having to borrow a truck, no hauling stuff to the landfill yourself.
What People in Beiseker Actually Need Hauled
Beiseker isn't a big city, and the jobs here are different from what I see in Calgary or even Airdrie. Most of my calls in Beiseker fall into a few categories:
- Farm and acreage cleanouts โ Old chest freezers that have been sitting in machine sheds for years. Fridges that were "spares" that nobody ever got around to fixing.
- Ranch house renos โ People buying older homes in the village or out on the range roads, gutting the kitchen before they move in. That means pulling out the 90s-era white stove, the dishwasher that leaks, the microwave hood combo that doesn't work anymore.
- Basement and garage purges โ Beiseker basements are often walkouts, and they collect appliances over the years. Dehumidifiers, older washers and dryers, chest freezers. I've pulled three fridges out of one garage before.
- Estate cleanouts โ When a family member passes and the house needs to be cleared, the appliances are usually the heaviest, most awkward things left. I handle that so the family doesn't have to.
How It Works in Beiseker
I serve the whole village โ from the houses along 1st Avenue right out to the acreages on Township Road 272 and the farms along Highway 9. If you're out on a range road, just let me know when you book. I've got a truck that handles gravel lanes and farm approaches fine.
Same-week pickup most of the time. I don't make you wait two weeks. If I'm already heading out to Beiseker or coming back from Drumheller, I can usually swing by the same day or the next.
What I take: Fridges, freezers, stoves, ovens, dishwashers, washers, dryers, microwaves, window AC units, dehumidifiers, water softeners, water heaters. One piece or a whole houseful.
What I don't do: I don't take appliances with refrigerant unless you've got a certified tech to recover it first. I can haul the unit after that's done. I also don't take appliances that are full of food or garbage โ empty them out and I'll handle the rest.
What It Costs โ Honest Numbers
I charge by how much space your stuff takes in my truck, not by the piece. A typical appliance takes up about a quarter of my truck load. A fridge or a chest freezer is closer to a third.
- One appliance โ usually $100โ$150 depending on size and how easy it is to get to.
- Full house of appliances โ kitchen, laundry, basement freezer, the works โ $350โ$500.
- Extra charges โ If your appliance is in a basement with narrow stairs, a crawlspace, or behind a parked car, that takes more time. I'll tell you upfront if there's an extra fee, not when I show up.
I take cash, e-transfer, or credit card. I'll send you a receipt.
Why Not Just Haul It Yourself?
A lot of folks in Beiseker have a truck or a trailer. I get that. But the Drumheller landfill charges for appliance disposal, and you've got to drive it all the way out there. Plus, fridges and freezers need the doors taken off or strapped shut, and if you're moving a washer, you're dealing with water still in the lines.
I handle all that. I load it, I strap it, I dispose of it properly. Metal appliances get recycled when possible. You don't have to lift a finger.
Call or text me at (825) 559-2766 and tell me what you've got. I'll give you a straight answer on price and get you on the schedule.
Frequently asked questions
Do you take old fridges and freezers from farms outside Beiseker?
Yes. I pick up from acreages and farms on the range roads and Township Road 272 area. Just let me know the exact location so I can plan the route.
Will you take a stove or washer from a basement in an older Beiseker home?
I will, but if the stairs are narrow or the appliance is in a tight spot, I may need an extra set of hands or a bit more time. I'll let you know when you book so there's no surprise.
Do I need to disconnect the appliance before you arrive?
It helps if you do. I can unhook a washer or stove in a pinch, but if the water lines are still connected or the gas line on a stove isn't capped, you'll want a plumber or gas fitter for that part.
What happens to the appliances after you take them?
Metal parts get recycled at a scrapyard. Fridges and freezers that still work sometimes get donated if they're in decent shape. Anything that can't be reused goes to the landfill. I don't dump stuff on the side of a back road.
Can you take a microwave built into a cabinet?
If it's a built-in microwave or a microwave hood combo, I can take the unit after it's uninstalled. I don't do demo work or cut cabinets. If it's already loose, I'll grab it.
