Construction Debris Removal in Cochrane

I run TJ's Junk Removal out of Calgary, but a good chunk of my week is spent in Cochrane. That's because Cochrane builds a lot — new homes going up off of Sunset Ridge and Fireside, basements being finished in Heartland, decks and fences being replaced across the older parts of town near the Bow River. All of that work makes a mess, and that's where I come in.

What construction debris actually shows up in Cochrane

Most of the calls I get from Cochrane fall into a few buckets:

• Basement and garage finishes — drywall offcuts, studs, insulation, old carpet, trim. Heartland and Sunset Ridge have a ton of 2000s-era homes where people are finally finishing the space they've been meaning to do for years.
• Main-floor renos — kitchens and bathrooms ripped out. Old cabinets, countertops, tubs, toilets, tile. Heavy stuff that won't fit in a bin bag.
• New construction cleanups — builders and contractors need sites cleared of lumber scraps, concrete chunks, packaging, and drywall debris before final inspection.
• Deck and fence tear-outs — pressure-treated lumber, old fence panels, and concrete footings. The older neighborhoods along the Bow and around downtown Cochrane have plenty of these.

Cochrane has a landfill at the west end of town on Griffin Industrial Park, but getting construction debris there yourself means a truck, a trailer, and paying by the tonne. If you've got a couple of yards of mixed debris, the trip isn't worth your Saturday.

How the job works here

It's simple. You call or text, tell me what you've got and roughly how much, and I give you a straight price over the phone. I bring a truck and a couple of guys if the load is heavy. We load everything — you don't lift a finger unless you want to. Then I take it to the proper facility and sort it so as much as possible gets recycled rather than buried.

One thing that matters in Cochrane specifically: the hills. A lot of homes in Sunset Ridge and West Valley sit on sloped lots with narrow driveways. If you're on a steep grade, tell me when you call so we bring the right equipment and park smart. I've backed into enough Cochrane driveways to know which ones need extra care.

What it costs

I don't do per-tonne mystery pricing. You get a flat quote before I show up, and that's what you pay. Price depends on volume, weight, and how hard it is to get to the pile. A truckload of drywall and lumber from a basement finish in Heartland runs differently than a full tear-out of a concrete patio in downtown Cochrane.
