On the day of the cleanout, I show up with my truck and my helper. We do the lifting, the hauling, the sorting. You point, we load. If there's stuff that can be donated, I'll set it aside and take it where it can be used. The rest goes to the right facility — scrap metal gets recycled, hazardous stuff like old oil and paint gets handled properly, and the rest goes to the dump. You don't have to rent a bin, haul anything, or make a single trip.
Most De Winton garage cleanouts take two to four hours. Acreages with heavy equipment can run longer, and I'll be upfront about that before we start.
What it costs
I price by volume, not by the hour, so you're not watching a clock. A packed single-car garage in the subdivisions usually runs about a half to three-quarter truck, so you're looking at $250 to $375. A full acreage shop with equipment and scrap can go higher — up to a full truck at $500 — and I'll tell you exactly what it'll be before I load a single thing. If any extra-fee items like mattresses or tires come up, that's all in the quote up front too.
One thing worth knowing: if you're on an acreage with a long driveway, let me know when you book. It doesn't change the price, but it helps me plan the truck and the route, especially in winter when the driveway's packed down.
