Condo and apartment buildings. Places like the complexes along Main Street or near Genesis Place have specific rules about moving big items through common areas. I know to bring furniture pads, I know to watch the elevators, and I know the loading zones that actually work in this town. You don't have to figure any of that out — you just tell me the building name and I handle the rest.

CrossIron Mills area. If you're on the south end near CrossIron Mills, you might be in one of the newer complexes where the streets are still being finished. I know exactly which ones have proper truck access and which ones I need to park a little further down. That's not something a company from Calgary would know on the first visit.

What I take and what I don't

I'll haul away:

• Box springs and bed frames (I'll take the whole setup if you want)
• Adjustable bases and memory foam toppers
• Mattresses from rentals, flips, and evictions
• Old mattresses from storage units and garages

I do not take mattresses that are actively infested with bed bugs. I'll tell you straight up if that's the case, because hauling a mattress with bed bugs in my truck means I can't take the next job without contaminating it. If you think you have bed bugs, call your landlord or a pest control company first — then call me once it's been treated.

What it costs

Mattress removal in Airdrie starts at my $50 minimum plus the mattress disposal fee, with the exact number depending on a few things:

• How far the truck has to get to it — if you're out near Balzac or the far north end of Airdrie, that's a longer drive for me
