What Airdrie folks actually need hauled

Airdrie's a mix of newer suburbs and older established areas, and the furniture jobs reflect that. In neighbourhoods like Canals or Luxstone, I'm often pulling out dated sectional couches, heavy entertainment centres, and old waterbed frames that came with the house. In Southwinds or Thorburn, it's more basements stuffed with furniture from the last renovation — ripped recliners, broken dressers, mattresses that have seen better days.

The most common stuff I haul:

• Couches and sectionals — especially the big L-shaped ones that won't fit through a standard door in one piece.
• Mattresses and box springs — I take them regardless of condition.
• Bed frames, headboards, and dressers — solid wood or particle board, doesn't matter.
• Old dining tables and chairs — often from basement suites or estate cleanouts.
• Futons, desk chairs, bookshelves — the stuff that piles up in a spare room until you can't open the door.

I also get calls from people who bought a house in Sagewood or Coopers Crossing and the previous owners left their junk furniture behind. That happens more than you'd think.

How furniture removal works in Airdrie

It's straightforward. You call or text me at (825) 559-2766, tell me what you've got, and I give you a firm price over the phone. I don't charge by the pound — I quote by the truckload or the piece, whichever makes more sense for you.

I show up in my marked truck, usually within a day or two. I do all the lifting and carrying. You don't need to move anything to the curb unless you want to. I'll go into your basement, up your stairs, out of your garage — wherever the furniture is.

I haul it away and dispose of it properly. Usable furniture gets donated if I can find a home for it. The rest goes to the Airdrie transfer station or recycling depot. I don't dump stuff in an alley or leave it for someone else to deal with.

A couple things specific to Airdrie

HOA rules and back alleys. Some newer Airdrie neighbourhoods have strict HOA guidelines about what can sit outside and for how long. If you've got an HOA breathing down your neck about an old couch on the driveway, I can usually get there the same day you call.

Basement suites. Airdrie has a lot of legal and illegal basement suites. If you're a landlord clearing out furniture from a tenant who left suddenly, I've done that plenty of times. I'll work around your schedule.

New build leftovers. A lot of Airdrie's newer areas — Sagewood, Windsong, Southwinds — are still filling in. People move in, realize their old couch doesn't fit the new layout, and need it gone before the moving truck leaves. I can do same-week or next-day pickup for that.

Pricing — honest numbers

I keep it simple. A single piece like a couch or a bed frame runs around $100–$150. A truckload of mixed furniture — say a living room set plus a couple mattresses — is $300–$500, depending on how much space it takes up in the truck.

I don't charge extra for stairs inside your home. I don't tack on disposal fees. The price I quote is the price you pay.
